Leadership

Transparency
There's something to be said for businesses that are honest and transparent. I've always been attracted to honest folks. It's rare though. I've experienced the opposite and been shaken to the core when people are deceitful in their business practices.
This past week I discovered this company called Everlane. I was pleasantly surprised (after stalking their website) to find this picture of their pricing. You can click on any item for sale on their website, and they will tell you:
1. How much it costs the company to make, and
2. How much they sell it for

The power of photographs
Photographs are powerful. This photo is distracting me tonight because I'm imagining myself holidaying inside it.
Where was it taken? Who owns this place? What does the inside look like?

Rocklea Flower Market
I've been itching to get over to Rocklea and visit the flower markets. I love this place because there's never a shortage of inspiration. Creation.is.breathtaking.
Wardrobes
My wardrobe has definitely been influenced by the boho style of late. Floppy hats, cuffs and leather chokers are still trending this summer and I'm loving every minute.
Timber
I've been doing so well this afternoon powering through a design document I've wanted to write for ages. It's 9.20pm, I'm listening to Mumford & Sons, I have 11 documents open and I'm trawling through pinterest (daydreaming about design spaces). I've always been attracted to brick, timber and the rustic barn look. Here's a photo that made me do a double-take.
Artwork
The right artwork makes all the difference in a room. I recently hung this picture on my wall and I'm delighted with how well it suits the space. The colours compliment my timber dresser perfectly.
Dark Chocolate
Boxing day.... this afternoon I've been dabbling in some food photography projects. It was terribly difficult to focus at times as the strong aroma of cacao was VERY distracting. Makira Gold will be launching soon. Watch on social media for more exciting news on this project.
Maleny Modernism
Today I made a mad dash to Maleny to check on a project I've been working on. The bathrooms are so good I could squeal.
Random Styling at Home
Gum nuts have influenced my Christmas styling a lot this year. I've attached them to so many wreaths. I think it's great to make your home reflect the rich flora of this magnificent country.
Christmas Entertaining
Parties are in full swing which means lots of food! I like to cater using a large round platter, and scattering the food all about.
